Prior to joining the Sequel Youth and Family Services team, Judy founded the first private detention center in the state of Iowa, along with the first intake center, partnering with many government entities, including local police departments, sheriff’s departments, and youth detention centers, to make this happen. She started at Woodward Academy with Sequel Youth and Family Services in 2000 as the Admissions Director, where she was instrumental in getting the first child from the Virgin Islands placed. The program continued to grow from there and in 2004, Judy started a day school within Woodward Academy where she worked to place kids from other districts. In 2006, she founded SequelCare of Iowa as the Executive Director.
Judy was part of the acquisition and founding of SequelCare of Maine and was the Executive Director of both SequelCare of Iowa and SequelCare of Maine for over a year. She moved to Maine in December 2012 and has worked diligently to grow SequelCare of Maine into the program it is today, obtaining Joint Commission Accreditation and continuing to add new programs to best serve the people of Maine.
